Scientific Advisory Board
Eric Nestler M.D., Ph.D.
Principal Scientific Advisor and Chairman
Dr. Eric Nestler, scientific co-founder of PsychoGenics, is Chairman and Lou and Ellen McGinley Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He was formerly the Elizabeth Mears and House Jameson Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Division of Molecular Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. The focus of his research is molecular mechanisms underlying behavior disorders.
Paul Greengard, Ph.D.
Dr. Paul Greengard was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology in 2000. He is the Vincent Astor Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience at Rockefeller University. Dr. Greengard is best known for work on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of signal transduction.
Ronald Duman, Ph.D.
Dr. Ronald Duman is Professor of the Departments of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine. He is a leading researcher and industry advisor on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying depression and addiction.
René Hen, Ph.D.
Dr. René Hen is Professor of Pharmacology at the Columbia University Center of Neurobiology and Behavior. He is best known for research on the molecular and behavioral effects of serotonin and has generated knockout and transgenic mice for the study of depression, anxiety, and Huntington disease. He is also co-founder of NeuroGenix Corp.
George Koob, Ph.D.
Dr. George Koob is Director of the Division of Psychopharmacology at Scripps Research Institute. He is a leader in the analysis of rodent behavior, including knockout and transgenic mice, and is perhaps best known for his research on addiction and anxiety.
Richard Paylor, Ph.D.
Dr. Richard Paylor is Professor of the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. He is a leader in behavioral characterization of genetically modified mice.
