PsychoGenics has a comprehensive set of genetic and pharmacologically-induced animal models for Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Fragile X Syndrome, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Rett Syndrome, Schizophrenia/Bipolar and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Animal models that recapitulate some pathophysiological and behavioral characteristics of human disorders can be used to develop new disease-specific drugs, screen compounds for efficacy or toxicity, or study gene function.
PsychoGenics uses its proprietary high-throughput in vivo technologies to provide quick, unbiased and sensitive phenotyping and screening assay (see Proprietary Drug Discovery Platforms). In addition, PsychoGenics offers specifically designed behavioral test batteries for each disorder, neurotransmitter pathway or pathophysiological domain under study.
